Pre-Tied Bow Tie
I don’t think it is advertised as such, but the Blooming Bow Tie is a true pre-tied bow tie. This means that you can’t untie it, it’s fixed the way it is (you can tell it is held together by small brown strings). The only way to put it on is with the hook and clasp and the only way you can adjust it is by putting a small hook into one of the many labeled number holes on the inside and to keep doing it until you find the best fit for your neck. For someone with clumsy hands, it can feel a bit annoying and finicky to put on without either hooks coming loose or undone, but I’m sure with enough practice, one can do it very easily and very quickly. I’m not a bow tie snob by any means, but for those unaware, a pre-tied bow tie looks more perfect than a regular self-tied bow tie, so if you want the imperfect self-tied look, then this bow tie won’t provide it. That being said, most people will neither care nor tell the difference, and a stranger at the event I was going to with it complimented me on it. I’m just writing all this to clarify to anyone buying this what they’re buying into. It’s still an elegant looking bow tie with a great, quality feel to it, so if you’re not a snob when it comes to bow ties and you happen to buy this one, you can definitely do far worse.
